It sure looks like we have a new love story on our hands.

In case you somehow missed the big news this past week, Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston caught fans off guard when they were spotted kissing in Rhode Island.

Along the beach in Westerly, the “Blank Space” singer and A-list actor were seen cuddling, kissing and holding hands. Soon after, E! News confirmed they were in fact an item.

Ever since the photos surfaced, some Swifties are trying to learn more about Tom. And yes, not everyone has seen the actor in Thor and The Avengers.

What some are quickly learning is that the Hollywood star can be quite the romantic gentleman. As we continue to follow the new pair, we’re taking a look at some of Tom’s recent quotes about love. Lets just say Taylor may have a new romantic on her hands.

On His Ideal Woman:

“I like strong women. My mothers and sisters are very strong women, immensely independent and very capable and that’s what I feel comfortable with,” he shared with TV3. “My mother places a huge importance on decency and kindness and always has—and the older I get the more I realize how rare that is.”

The Importance of Family:

“I believe in the strength and intelligence and sensitivity of women,” he told Elle UK. “My mother, my sisters [they] are strong. My mum is a strong woman and I love her for it.”

Let’s Talk About Sexy:

“I guess the sexiest thing in the world is when I meet someone and they seem like they are themselves,” he shared during a 2013 press junket. “You know be yourself.”

Trust Experience:

“First kiss at 10! Yes, 10 years old, tongues and everything,” he confessed when discussing his first crush to Elle UK. “She was a huge crush, we were in the same class, a lot of note swapping, and eventually it all went down in a cricket pavilion on an autumn night. It was very thrilling.”

Perfect Date:

“I think, if you’re going to be conventionally romantic, you’ve got to go all the way: a beautiful dinner somewhere lovely, with boat-loads of flowers, chocolates and champagne,” he told Run Riot. “But it might also be nice to wrap up warm and sit on a roof somewhere, with a cup of hot soup and your girl, watch the planes come in over London and listen to the night.”
