Who is Demi Lovato‘s biggest inspiration?
“Some of the women that really inspire me, I would say I’ve become really close with Jennifer Lopez,” the 22-year-old singer revealed to E! News exclusively this week during her Tampax Always Radiant Collection event in L.A. “She’s such a strong, confident woman that she’s really helped me with learning that stuff and she’s just such an inspirational person and so empowering and if there’s anybody that’s super radiant and confident, it’s her.”
Lovato also opened up about not succumbing to external pressures when it comes to one’s body image.

“Your body is going to change, your looks are going to change, you’re going to have great hair and makeup days, you’re going to have bad hair and makeup days—it doesn’t define who you are. At the end of the day, who you are is who people really see,” she said.
In addition to her inspiring messages, the former X Factor judge opened up about recently throwing a surprise birthday party for longtime boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama. “It was hard to pull off,” Lovato said. “It was hard to keep a secret definitely because I remember like on the way there I actually kept smiling and laughing. I was trying to play it off and he was like, ‘What are you doing?’ I was like, ‘Nothing!’ But I was so giddy.”
“He didn’t figure it out,” she added. “I think 70 people were in this restaurant and we completely took it over. It was so much fun.”
