Coming as sad news in Tinseltown, Angelina Jolie has reportedly filed for divorce to end her two-year marriage to Brad Pitt.
The actress filed legal documents on Monday (September 19), citing irreconcilable differences, according to TMZ.
She’s asking for physical custody of the couple’s six children.
Jolie, who lists the date of separation as September 15, 2016, has hired top divorce lawyer Laura Wasser to represent her.
She is not asking for spousal support, according to the documents obtained by TMZ, and she has asked the judge to give Pitt visitation.
Reports suggest there was no third party involved in the marriage breakdown.
The couple met on the set of action film Mr. & Mrs. Smith when Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston. They have been together since 2004.
Neither Jolie, Pitt, nor their representatives have commented on the split story.
