Actress Tori Spelling is expecting her fifth child with husband Dean McDermott.
The former Beverly Hills, 90210 star has posed for a shoot with People magazine to announce her surprise pregnancy. In one shot, she shows off her baby bump in a yellow dress and another shows her clutching her stomach in a blue and white patterned dress while posing with husband Dean and their four kids.
“It was a total surprise,” the 43-year-old said. “But we always wanted a big family. I’m really excited.
“This baby happened at the best time… Nothing is ever perfect, but I’m so madly in love with my husband and with our kids. The idea of adding to that is such a blessing.”
The couple is already parents to Liam, nine, Stella, eight, Hattie and Finn, both four, while Dean also has an 18-year-old son, Jack, from his previous marriage to actress Mary Jo Eustace.
“Dean was saying, ‘We just got Finn out of diapers; I thought we were in the clear!’” Tori joked. “For the first time this year, they’re all in school. So it’s like, wow. We’re basically starting over.”
Dean, 49, added that the new child is meant to be, but they will have to make some changes to their lifestyle to accommodate such a large brood.
“We need a Sprinter van!” he laughed.
Tori and Dean, who have appeared in a series of reality shows about their life, wed in 2006 but their marriage was rocked in 2013 when Dean was accused of cheating on her with Emily Goodhand. In 2014, he entered rehab to treat “health and personal issues” and he said in a statement, “I am truly sorry for the mistakes I have made and for the pain I’ve caused my family.” The events were covered in docu-series True Tori.
After working on their marriage, Dean pledged his love to Tori once again by proposing to her in Paris in April (2016) surrounded by their kids.
The baby news comes amid claims the couple are battling financial problems, with Tori recently being ordered to pay American Express bosses around $38,000 to clear her outstanding credit card bills.
