Idris Elba no longer parties hard.
The 43-year-old actor – who has children Isan, 14, with ex-wife Kim Norgaard and Winston, two, with former girlfriend Naiyana Garth – insists his hard partying days are behind him now that he is a dad.
He said: ”I used to party hard but I’m a father these days. I had a lot of fun in my twenties but I didn’t know what I was doing in my life then. Now in my forties I have a grasp of who I am and what I want to do with my life. It’s also a lot more interesting when you feel like things are falling in to place. That’s where the real fun comes from.”
These days Idris likes to relax by watching cartoons with his younger son and is a big fan of ‘Peppa Pig’.
He told the Sunday Mirror Notebook magazine: ”I have two kids and I’ve spent a lot of time watching cartoons with my son lately. I’ve always loved cartoons. They give a lot of joy to young people and they spark their imagination. It’s beautiful to watch their faces light up when they watch them. My little boy and I are big fans of ‘Peppa Pig’.”
