Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard are not wasting any time when it comes to introducing their newborn son to the world.

Just a few hours after the happy couple announced the birth of their baby boy, the 19 Kids & Counting stars headed to social media to share the very first pictures of Israel David Dillard, and now have even shared a cute little video of their bundle of the joy.

The clip on their website featured the new parents and their tiny baby boy, and read, “He’s here! Israel David Dillard has made his arrival. He was born at 11:49pm on April 6, 2015. He weighed 9 lbs and 10 ounces and measured 23 inches long. We think he’s adorable! Mom and baby are both doing wonderful. We are so thankful for his safe arrival and look forward to this great new journey called Parenthood!”

However, in the video, Jill reveals that things didn’t exactly go according to plan when it came to his birth.

“Not everything went as expected,” she said, “so we were reminded of the verse that the Bible talks about when ‘Man plans his way but the Lord directs his steps.’ We were encouraged by that. He’s just a handsome little fella and we’d like everybody to stay tuned to TLC. May 5th they’re going to be showing the birth episode as well as things surrounding that.”

Duggar didn’t go into detail about what she was referring to, however, she openly expressed the desire to have a home birth, and it seems as though the pair weren’t able to do that.

The couple’s newborn was born almost two weeks after the scheduled due date, and a source tells E! News that if Jill needed to be induced, the only place to do that is at a hospital. Additionally, after 42 weeks, you have to get a doctor’s permission to keep going with a home birth with a midwife.

Regardless, the trio are happy, healthy and together at last.
