Germany’s Deutschland 83 was named Best Drama at the 44th International Emmy Awards gala in New York tonight, with Dustin Hoffman (Roald Dahl’s Esio Trot) and Christiane Paul (Under the Radar) taking top acting prizes.

Hosted by Alan Cumming at the New York Hilton, the awards roster also included The Man Who Shot Hiroshima for best arts programming, The Great Swedish Advanture for nonscripted entertainment, Hoff the Record for best comedy, and Krieg der Lugen (War of Lies) for documentary.

Scandal‘s Tony Goldwyn presented the International Emmy Founders Award to executive producer and writer Shonda Rhimes (Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, Private Practice, How to Get Away with Murder and The Catch).
