Marketed from 2002, the oci Jazz Super Session is the only bec Selmer hard rubber to round chamber that was already used for older models in the 50’s. The Super Session is characterized by a rich grain, and a real roundness, while maintaining its width of sound. The oci Jazz Super Session is easy to program, and allows saxophonists, soprano, a real work on the color. The sound material is stable regardless of dynamic levels, with an astonishing richness of sound, but without aggressiveness. Clearly intended for the jazz Super Session is a spout for the saxophonists in quest of power, projection, wide dynamic range, and flexibility. The Super Session E has a round chamber, opening of 1.35 mm and a table length of 20mm.
The bec de saxophone soprano Selmer Super Session is made from ebonite, a rubber hardened by the addition of sulfur which makes this material extremely stable.
Drafted on a tower, torches are then polished, and then the chamber is pierced, a draft of the table is performed, and finally the light and the end are milled. The finishing is then done entirely by hand.
