A garden party at the palace sounds so classy, doesn’t it?
But all hell breaks loose on tonight’s episode of The Royals, when everyone shows up to the party with his or her own agenda…

After waking up next to her hot bodyguard Jasper (Tom Austen) in bed, Princess Eleanor (Alexandra Park) reaches for his phone to try and delete the video he has of her. But just before she can get her hands on it, Jasper wakes up and warns her that he has the video backed up on several hard drives, then he tells her to get him some breakfast. Let the blackmail begin…
After a nice afternoon date, Ophelia (Merritt Patterson) returns with Prince Liam (William Moseley) to his dorm room, where he finds an unexpected surprise…
It’s none other than Liam’s ex-girlfriend, socialite Gemma (Sophie Colquhoun), who tells him that she wants him back despite the fact that she broke up with him and disappeared ten months before…

While Liam isn’t quick to take her back, it’s clear his feelings for Gemma are unresolved. He finds Ophelia and apologizes to her, then invites her to the garden party at the palace that his parents are throwing.
Princess Penelope (Lydia Rose Bewley) and Princess Maribel (Hatty Preston) are the first to arrive and they are clearly dressed to impress…
Queen Helena (Elizabeth Hurley) warns her children to behave themselves at the party, but who is she kidding?
As soon as they step foot outside, Eleanor lights up a cigarette and drinks from a bottle of champagne…
Then Liam proceeds to crowd surf…
Much to the horror of their mother…
Suddenly Gemma shows up and pulls Ophelia aside to apologize (in advance) for winning Liam back. Oh, snap…
Eleanor sets her eyes on hot Olympic swimmer Andy Sinclair and immediately starts hitting on him but Jasper gets jealous and proceeds to intervene between the two.
Eleanor then tells Jasper that there is nothing he can do about it and walks away. You can blackmail a princess but you can’t stop her from having fun…

Prince Cyrus (Jake Maskall) runs into James Holloway, a respected member of British society whom he apparently has an “intimate” past with. They slip off to Cyrus’ bedroom, where he proceeds to ask James for a favor for the Queen.
Nothing comes for free in this palace…
The Queen is introduced to Captain Lacey, a highly-decorated (and handsome) war hero. But have these two met before?
Ophelia then challenges Gemma to a drinking contest but loses. It’s going to be a tough race between these two ladies.
A drunk Ophelia proceeds to stumble away, leaving a smug Gemma sitting at the table.
Apparently Ophelia drank way more than she could handle because on her way out of the party, she passes out in some bushes.
Fortunately, Liam comes to her rescue and carries Ophelia back to her dad’s place. But things don’t go too well when she throws up in front of him. How embarrassing…
Ophelia then drunkenly babbles about how she’s sad that Liam invited Gemma to the party. Liam corrects her and states that his mother invited Gemma while he was the one who invited Ophelia.
When he asks Ophelia out on another date, she insists that she isn’t posh enough for him. But before he leaves, Ophelia tells Liam that he will make a great king someday.
Aww, how sweet…
King Simon (Vincent Regan) helps the maid out in the kitchen and asks for her opinion about the monarchy and her life. She seems surprised by his interest but they share a nice moment together.
When the Queen returns to her bedroom, the handsome Captain Lacey is waiting for her. They share a passionate kiss (gasp) and before he pulls a Houdini and leaves through a secret door, he tells the Queen he loves her.
Oh my god…
Eleanor invites Andy back to her room with Jasper behind them. In this case, three is definitely a crowd…
After giving Andy a passionate kiss and telling him to meet her inside, Eleanor closes the door behind her and waits for him. Jasper takes advantage of the opportunity, however, by asking to take a selfie with Andy.
Minutes later, Eleanor receives this text from Jasper. Looks like she won’t be getting lucky this afternoon, after all…
Her cousins stumble upon the passed out body of the Olympic hottie and immediately swoop in to take him away.
Once princess’s loss is another princess’s gain…
Later, Jasper shows up in Eleanor’s room and tells her that if she pulls a stunt like earlier, he’s going to release the video.
But Eleanor reminds him that once he does that, what they have going on together will stop. Is he really ready to give all that up?
Back in the kitchen, the maid uncovers a gun from her purse. We can smell trouble brewing…
Liam has a moment with his dad and asks him to wait a little before going to Parliament regarding abolishing the monarchy. Liam feels that he now has direction and is convinced that he can have both love and the crown. To his surprise, the King agrees…
Could a crown be in Liam’s future?
