The UGG for Men boots collection will be available in U.S. retailer Footaction and company chiefs have enlisted the 23-year-old to appear in a series of new ads.
“I like where the UGG brand is going,” the rapper says. “They’re open to trying new things and really pushing forward. When someone like me wears UGG, it’s kind of, like, re-purposing the brand from its original concept, which was made for surfers. I think it’s dope that they’re taking new perspectives.”
The advertisements were shot in Mensa’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois and he enlisted his own tour photographer, Jake Osmun, and personal style consultant, Zoe Costello, for the campaign.
“We are honoured to partner with Vic Mensa to launch our relationship with lifestyle retailer, Footaction,” Alice Hampton, Senior Director of Global PR for UGG, says. “Vic is an incredible creative talent who brings a unique perspective to our men’s range.”
