Where’s Sesame Street when you need it?!

The letter T caused a lot of anxiety for the cast and creator of Amazon’s Transparent this morning when this year’s Emmy nominations were announced…alphabetically.

While six names may not seem like that many, it’s a very long list when you’re waiting for your name to be called to potentially win an Emmy.

“It was alphabetical order so it was very nervewracking,” creator Jill Soloway tells E!’s Will Marfuggi in the video above. “I would say, guys, it’s alphabetical, it’s alphabetical, because people were freaking out.”

Luckily, no one involved in Transparent had much to worry about. The series, about a father of three adult children who reveals that he is transgender, walked away with 11 Emmy nominations this morning.

Tambor is nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy Series, while Soloway received nominations for Outstaning Writing for a Comedy Series, Outstanding Single Camera Picture Editing for a Comedy Series, and Outstanding Special Class Short Format Nonfiction Programs. Gaby Hoffmann is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, Bradley Whitford received a nomination for Best Guest Actor, and the show still earned nods for editing, art direction, the main title theme music, costumes, and casting. The show itself is also up for Best Comedy, though it wouldn’t feel totally out of place in the Best Drama category either.

To sum up, Transparent is a very good show, and its cast and crew absolutely deserve to dance their hearts out at the next table read, which you can get a little preview of by pressing play on the video above.

Fun and jokes aside (for the moment), Transparent comes at a time in our history when it is most needed, as its got a lot to teach us about loving and accepting the people around us, for whoever they may be.

That has especially been a theme over the past couple days, in light of Caitlyn Jenner’s emotional and inspiring speech at last night’s ESPY awards.

“What an amazing moment for the trans movement that there’s this sea change,” Soloway says of both Jenner’s and Transparent’s affect. “There’s this undeniable sea change, you know, with this Supreme Court decision on marriage, it’s like the next big thing is that trans people need rights in every state and all over the globe.”

Transparent will return for a second season on Amazon.
