The British actor is swinging into action as Peter Parker and his web-slinging alter ego for Marvel’s upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming, and he reveals he has a wardrobe filled with 20 versions of the same costume because the skin-tight material frequently tears onset.
“I break them quite a lot because I have to do a lot of stunts – flips and stuff – so they rip…,” he recently revealed to the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, after paying a visit to sick kids in a Georgia hospital while in costume as Spider-Man.
“We have like, 20 suits, I think, that we alternate, and this is actually what we would call a beauty suit, which means it is like picture ready, and then we have a stunt suit, which isn’t as nice as this one.”
Holland stopped by the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta hospital to surprise young fans in August (16), but the interview was only released on the charity’s YouTube this month (Sep16).
Spider-Man: Homecoming is currently shooting in Atlanta, ahead of a July, 2017 release.
