Tiffany Thornton‘s husband, Chris Carney, died a week ago, and since then she has been honoring his life by sharing photos of their intimate family moments on her Instagram.
Friday afternoon the former Disney star uploaded a heartwarming photo of Carney sleeping with one of their sons. She didn’t caption her picture, but fans poured their hearts out in the comment section. Giving her their condolences, fans urged Thornton to “stay strong.”
Thornton broke her silence 24 hours after her husband passed away in a tragic car accident in Arkansas. She shared a picture of her late husband holding their two sons, Kenneth James “KJ” Carney, 3, and Bentley Cash Carney, 21 months. “My life. My love. My angel,” she wrote in the Instagram photo caption.
Since then close pal and bridesmaid Demi Lovato has offered her condolences and support during her friend’s extremely difficult time. “Today has been all too real. Please please please #pray4theCarneys #RIPChrisCarney,” Demi tweeted, before adding, “I love you @therealTiffany and so do millions more. Stay strong. We are praying for you.”

Carney, a former member of rock band The Prom Kings, married Thornton in 2011.
Tiffany’s husband and his friend, Ezekiel Blanton, were both killed in a single car accident last Friday at approximately 1:40 a.m., per The Arkansas Times, which first reported the news. The vehicle reportedly slammed into a tree going around a bend. Ezekial, 37, was listed as the driver of the car, and Carney, 35, was his only passenger.
The family has set up a GoFundMe page where they also announced the heartbreaking news. “With the sad news that has filled our hearts we have decided to set up a page in memory of Chris Carney,” the family wrote.
