Her success in the music industry is astounding and Taylor Swift was recognized with a very special honor at the 2014 American Music Awards on Sunday night (November 23).
During the exciting ceremony, the “Out of the Woods” singer was given the first-ever Dick Clark Award for Excellence by celebrity presenter Diana Ross.
Of course, Taylor was “so blown away” by the whole thing, hugging pals Selena Gomez, Lorde, Karlie Kloss and Sam Smith on her way up to accept.
Clark’s widow Kari also shared that her late husband was a huge Taylor fan- “The first time Dick saw Taylor perform, he knew she was something special. He would be thrilled to know she is the first artist to receive the Dick Clark Award for Excellence.”
