Sorry, Gigi Hadid! Zayn Malik Longs for Another Beautiful Blonde

Zayn Malik is vying for the love and attention of a different blond in his latest music video.

Although fans were hoping to see the singer and girlfriend Gigi Hadid get steamy again for his “It’s You” video, which dropped tonight, it turns out Malik opted to leave his ladylove out of his latest project, and now we have to see him chase after another woman.

It’s OK, guys, this is the world we live in. (Also, this isn’t real life.)

Regardless, Zayn is still is usual sexy self in the black and white clip, which is only available on Apple Music, and features the young lad admiring a beautiful young woman from afar, while having a number of angsty and brooding moments in his ultra-luxurious pad.

There’s the moment when he throws sheets of music in his living room because he’s annoyed. There’s another moment when he watches her swim while flaunting her enviable bod in a monokini (it’s not as creepy as it sounds). And there’s the moment when he sees her with another man…sigh.

Let your heart break, Zayn.

“(She got, she got, she got)/ Her own reason for talking to me/ She don’t, she don’t, she don’t give a f–k/ About what I need/ And I can’t tell you why/ Because my brain can’t equate it/ Tell me your lies/ Because I just can’t face it/ It’s you, it’s you,” Malik sings.

The 23-year-old first debuted his latest single last week while appearing as a musical guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He also dropped the album art for his solo EP Mind of Mine, which is available for preorder now.

“I feel good! I feel like that’s the key thing in life, you know regardless of whatever it is that you do,” he told Z100’s Elvis Duran of leaving One Direction. “You have to always remain true to yourself and do whatever makes you happy because at the end of the day, you answer to yourself so it’s a good place to be in. I’m happy about the decision I made.”

He continued, “I’ve been working on it for a long time now, so even starting everything is really exciting this week.”

An exciting week, indeed. Along with releasing his second single and video, the remix to “F–k You Back to Sleep,” and his cover art, it turns out Zayn teamed up with Lil Wayne for a remix of “Pillow Talk,” and it’s pretty great. You can listen to it here.

Mind of Mine drops March 25.
