Sons of Anarchy Death: How it Ranks Among the Series’ Most

We knew we were getting off too easy this season on Sons of Anarchy.

While there has been death and gore in pretty much every episode of the final season so far of the FX drama, SAMCRO has remained pretty much intact despite dishing out revenge for who they think is responsible for Tara’s (Maggie Siff) death in the season six finale.

But all that changed in tonight’s shocking episode, when a member of SAMCRO met Mr. Mayhem in a tragic end that could have been avoided if only Gemma (Katey Sagal) bravely just told the truth from the start. So which son died in “What a Piece of Work Is Man?”

After enduring horrific torture at the hands of August Marks’ (Billy Brown), Bobby Elvis (Mark Boone Junior) was finally put out of his misery when he was so close to going home safely with his brothers.

During a tense trade between Jax (Charlie Hunnam) and August, the heir to Pope Industries put a bullet in Bobby’s head right in front of a shell-shocked Jax to prove to the club that he meant business, and if they ever betrayed him, they would suffer the same fate.

Of course, Jax and the club didn’t take Bobby’s death lying down, and they immediately tipped the police off to the dead preacher’s body on August’s land, leading to his arrest. But seeing as how August’s right hand man saw the club gloating over his arrest, retaliation on the club is imminent.

With the last moral member of the club dead, is anyone going to make it out of this season alive? It’s looking less and less possible. And really, at this point, does anyone even deserve to survive unscathed? We hate to even think about that.
