Add Scripps Networks channels including HGTV and Food Network to the parade of channels that will be available on AT&T’s DirecTV Now streaming service, due to launch by year end.

AT&T and Scripps Networks say this morning that they’ve reached a “multi-year, multiplatform agreement” with live and on-demand rights that keeps the programmer’s channels on DirecTV and AT&T U-verse. Other channels covered by the deal inclue Travel Channel, DIY Network, Cooking Channel and Great American Country.

In addition to DirecTV Now, the digital rights include the planned DirecTV Freeview.

The agreement means AT&T viewers “will be able to enjoy the entire family of Scripps Networks content virtually anytime, anywhere across all AT&T platforms,” the telco’s Chief Content Officer Dan York says.

DirecTV Now will offer more than 100 channels  at what CEO Randal Stephenson yesterday said would be “a very, very aggressive price.” Mobile streaming won’t count against data caps for AT&T’s wireless customers.
