‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ star Teresa Giudice’s house arrest is over, her lawyer has confirmed. The 43-year-old was released from prison on December 23rd 2015, after serving nearly a year behind bars on fraud charges and has been under house arrest ever since.
Teresa Giudice’s period of house arrest is over.
“Effective this morning, Teresa is no longer subject to the parameters of home confinement. She is now free in all aspects from the custodial portion of her sentence,” her attorney James Leonard told People.

“The restitution has been paid in full and what remains is a two-year period of supervised release, the terms of which we will remain in full compliance with.” Giudice entered the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, on January 5, 2015, after being sentenced to 15 months in jail.
Next week Giudice will release her memoir, Turning The Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again, which promises to tell all about her life behind bars.
In extracts published by the New York Daily News last weekend Giudice, spoke about strip-searches and revealed her cell was nicknamed ‘The Boom Boom Room’, because of the amount of sex between inmates.

Describing a strip search where she was ordered to remove her clothing, squat, stick out her tongue and cough, Giudice wrote: “I wanted to die.” The reality star also revealed that she kept herself busy behind bars by exercising for up to six hours a day and reading.
