Fans of “The X-Files,” it’s time to believe.
Fox dropped a blink-and-you-missed-it teaser for the upcoming miniseries during “Wayward Pines” on Thursday night. The clip is just 15 seconds long, with less than 10 seconds of actual footage. But to fans waiting for the first new episodes since 2002, it hit all the right notes — including the opening notes of the show’s unmistakable theme song.
Check it out in the clip above, which features lots of flashlights, a trail of blood and quick glimpses of Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully and David Duchovny as Fox Mulder.
“The X-Files” kicks off its six-episode run in January.
