Just in time to brighten your mood – if, that is, it needs brightening after a very interesting week – a new teaser poster for Disney’s upcoming live-action version of Beauty and the Beast made its way online earlier today. Posted to Twitter by star Emma Watson, the poster nods heavily to the animated classic on which the film is based, and offers up a moody, but gorgeous look at both Beauty and Beast dancing in a recreation of the iconic scene from the original. Retaining the animated film’s Alan Menken/Howard Ashman/Tim Rice score, Beauty and the Beast stars Watson along with Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Audra McDonald with Ian McKellen and Emma Thompson. Bill Condon directs. Producers are David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman; exec producers are Jeffrey Silver, Thomas Schumacher and Don Hahn. U.S. release date is March 17, 2017.
