Michael Jordan’s Daughter From Space Jam Is All Grown Up

Yes, Michael Jordan was definitely the hero in Space Jam, saving the Looney Toons from those fatheaded aliens who were trying to abduct them…but we can’t forget about another very important character from our favorite ’90s movie.

Jordan’s daughter in the film, Jasmine, who was played by Penny Bae Bridges, was an integral part in ensuring Jordan had everything he needed to play in the important basketball game with the Looney Toons, helping Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck wrangle up his lucky shorts and sneakers.

Of course this sparks some nostalgia, and considering we’re coming up on the 20 year anniversary of the film in November, we can’t help but wonder: Where is Bridges today?

Well, thanks to Huffington Post, we now know she’s a 25-year-old mother living in Los Angeles who decided to step out of the spotlight at a young age.

Even though she found success on shows after Space Jam, like Half & Half and Boy Meets World, she says her love for school and sports became a priority instead.

“I kind of got to the point where I was missing a lot of school, and I couldn’t participate in sports,” she explained to HuffPo. “And I guess I just wanted to feel like I was a normal teenager, so I played volleyball. I was second team all-state.”

She is currently working as a hairstylist, musician and artist, and she has always planned on getting back into acting. However, after giving birth to her now 6-year-old son, she got a little sidetracked.

But with talks of a Space Jam 2 in the mix (reportedly featuring LeBron James), Bridges says she’d totally be interested.

“I would definitely be interested in coming back,” she said. “I haven’t heard anything, but I would be a little sad if I wasn’t cast at least somewhere.”

As for the idea of the film itself, she’s all for it. “I think it would be interesting. I know basketball fans have their rivalries and opinions on LeBron, but I think it would be awesome. I think it would be a good movie to do. Hey, maybe I can play his girlfriend.”

LOL! We feel you on that one, girl!
