Hey, Channing Tatum, someone feels very left out over here, and that someone is Michael Bublé.
E! News caught up with the singer while in New York at the Songwriters Hall of Fame, where he inducted Van Morrison, and Bublé explained that although he definitely enjoys some amazing perks—like introducing a musician that he’s looked up to for years and years—he still wasn’t able to get something he really wanted.
Like a call to be in the new Magic Mike movie, for example.
“There’s things, like this, that you never think you’ll do,” he tells us. “There’s stuff, too, that even at this position that they don’t ask you to do, and it hurts. Like, Magic Mike 2. They did not ask me. I waited at home and I was like, ‘Please I will work on my abs, or whatever. Can you paint them on?’ Nothing. Not a call.”
Aw, it’s OK, Michael. Maybe next time?
During last night’s Songwriters Hall of Fame 46th Annual Induction and Awards gala, Lady Gaga was also honored and accepted the inaugural Contemporary Icon Award for her unforgettable contributions to pop culture.
Morrison and Gaga picked up honorary prizes, while awards also were presented to Nate Ruess and the former CEO of the American Society of Composers Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), John LoFrumento.
