Mel B has never been one to stay silent about her sexuality.
Although she’s happily married to husband Stephen Belafonte, the America’s Got Talent judge has admitted to experimenting with the opposite sex.
And in a revealing new interview with The Guardian, the Spice Girls member is sharing even more details about a past relationship with a very special lady.
“Well, I did have a four-year relationship with a woman,” she told the publication. “But I’ve been very happily married for seven years to a penis. Haha! An amazing guy.”
In another unexpected twist, that female love interest just so happened to be a mom whose child attended the same Los Angeles school as Mel B’s daughter.

“I’ve definitely not been shy or been one to hold back,” she shared. “If I wanted to try something, I did. I had a girlfriend. So what?”
During a recent TV appearance, the singer admitted to going through a lesbian phase, but wouldn’t elaborate on any specific relationships.
Although some reports have suggested that Mel is currently in an open marriage with her husband of seven years, the TV personality immediately denied any such claims.

“No, me and my husband are very tight and solid,” she said. “But I will be the first one to compliment a woman, to say to my husband, ‘Oh my God, look at her legs’; or ‘Doesn’t she look stunning?’ I do think women are gorgeous. Crazy but gorgeous.”
Today, The X-Factor U.K. judge is busier than ever as she balances work, family and marriage. But through all the chaos, the 39-year-old has made it a priority to also focus on herself.
“I am in love with myself,” she proclaimed during the interview. “Yes! Because if you don’t love yourself how can anybody love you back?”
