Mark Wahlberg Jokes About His Intense Soccer Dad Behavior, Does

Mark Wahlberg takes his kid’s soccer games very seriously.

The 44-year-old Oscar nominee and Daddy’s Home co-star Will Ferrell talked about their behavior at their children’s matches on The Graham Norton Show on Thursday.

Wahlberg, a father of four, was in November photographed looking super intense, almost aggressive, while standing on the sidelines at one of his and wife Rhea Durham‘s 9-year-old son Michael‘s championship games.

“I love my voice for about a week, screaming, yelling,” the actor told Graham Norton.

The boy’s team lost.

“So I had to beat him,” he joked. “I had money on that f–king game.”

Then he offered his opinion of Ferrell, a 48-year-old father of three sons who also serves as a coach.

“He’d be the worst coach,” Wahlberg said about the actor.

“Why?” his co-star asked.

“Because they could be down 20 [and you’d say], ‘Don’t worry guys, you’re doing really good. You know what? There are a lot of positive things happening…why are you crying?’ It’s OK!”
