“Jurassic World” Sets New Global Opening Record

Everyone knew that “Jurassic World” would be a huge flick, but over the weekend it raked in a global box office total of $ 511.8 million!

The Chris Pratt project scored $ 204.6 million domestically, putting it at #1 for June openings and #2 for all-time openings, just behind “The Avengers” which earned $ 207.4 million.

Meanwhile, Melissa McCarthy’s “Spy” nabbed #2 for the weekend at $ 16 million, “San Andreas” made $ 11 million, “Insidious: Chapter 3” brought home $ 7.3 million and “Pitch Perfect 2” added $ 6 million to its pile.
