The cast of Full House has made it no secret they’ve kept in touch since the good old days. It’s rare for that to happen, especially with casts at various ages, but it happened, especially for Jodie Sweetin, Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber. The three are back together for the new Netflix series Fuller House and the bond has never been stronger—both on and off the show.
But in between the two shows, everybody continued on with their lives. For Sweetin, that included drug abuse, which she has been candid about. As she told E! News’ Will Marfuggi, the bond the cast shares is something she’s been able to rely on to get through the tough times.

“We have a family. I don’t think that there’s anything that we go through, good, bad, or daily stuff, that we can’t share with each other and enjoy and support and love each other. We’ve known each other for almost 30 years now,” Sweetin shared. “When you are as close to people as we are to each other, for that long, you become a family. We support and love each other no matter what. It becomes a real familiar relationship where we insulate each other from all of that stuff and support and love each other through it.”
In Fuller House, Cameron Bure’s D.J. Tanner-Fuller moves back into her childhood home. Overwhelmed with three kids, the widowed mother gets help from sister Stephanie (Sweetin) and best friend Kimmy Gibbler (Barber). Fellow Full House veterans John Stamos Bob Saget, Lori Loughlin Dave Coulier and Scott Weinger all make various appearances during the series.
