Time sure does heal all wounds.
It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost eight years since Alec Baldwin made front-page headlines after his profane voicemail to daughter Ireland Baldwin was made public.
On the tape, Alec screamed at his then 11-year-old daughter and called her “a rude, thoughtless pig.”
But thanks to a new Twitter post, the father-daughter duo has proven once again that they have put that infamous phone call behind them. While enjoying story time together, the pair poked fun at the voicemail with their clever online message.
“If I were a pig….” Ireland wrote on Twitter. “I would be a rude and thoughtless one of course!”

As it turns out, this pair has made peace many years ago. In fact, the 30 Rock alum has recently been very supportive of his daughter’s modeling career.
And while Ireland appreciates the love and encouragement, she wants to find success on her own terms.
“I also get compared to my Mom quite a bit and this is where I bridge into the point of this whole post. I AM NOT MY PARENTS,” she once wrote on Tumblr. “I am not seeking fame by association.”
She added, “I am proud to be my parent’s daughter, but I don’t want to forever be known as ‘that rude thoughtless little pig’ or ‘Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger‘s kid.’ I have passions and interests of my own that I want to soon give life to. I want to be known for helping others and being a healthy role model.”
Thanks to gigs with Calvin Klein and modeling opportunities at fashion weeks around the world, we’d say she is well on her way.
