How to Get Away with Murder…again! ABC’s pulse-pounding drama starring Viola Davis will be back for a second season, the network officially announced in a promo after the two-hour season one finale aired on Thursday, Feb. 26.
“How to Get Away With Murder returns this fall on ABC,” the voiceover said. Here’s where you text 4,000 hallelujah/hands raised in celebration emojis to your friends about the news.
So how will they keep the show going again? Well, we’ll tell you, but get ready for spoilers.In the finale, viewers finally learned who killed Lila…and it wasn’t whom you expected!

Sam (Tom Verica) called Frank (Charlie Weber) and asked him to handle the situation, calling in a favor. Rebecca (Katie Findlay) found Lila’s murdered body in the water tank and hid with it, thinking she’d be pegged for the murder. And everybody thought she did do it! After being kidnapped by her boyfriend Wes (Alfred Enoch) and the other Keating students…Rebecca met her end in Annalise’s basement. Somebody killed her. It wasn’t Frank, according to him, and it wasn’t Annalise, according to her. So…your suspects are: Bonnie (Liza Weil), Connor (Jack Falahee), Laurel (Karla Souza), Michaela (Aja Naomi King).
And don’t fret, your queen Viola Davis will return.
