A picture is worth a thousand words, and in this case, Beyoncé wanted to do all the talking.

The Grammy winner was courtside last night with her husband Jay Z at Game 6 of the NBA Finals when she was spotted giving a neighbor some serious side eye.

So what gives? Well, allow Steve Cespedes—the man lucky enough to not only sit front row at the game but also front row at the Jayoncé show—to clear the air and explain what really went down.

Shortly after cameras caught Bey’s sneaky little glance at the man sitting next to Jay, media outlets immediately began posting stories poking fun at Cespedes for being caught making eye contact with the “Drunk in Love” singer.

Cespedes took to Twitter to spill details on what took place though, and said, “I’m the dude in the picture. Both Beyoncé and Jay Z were beyond polite and very gracious. The pic was her idea.”

He clarified, “I showed her the Huffington Post tweet, we thought it was funny, she came up with this idea.”

HuffPo had originally tweeted, “Never look Beyoncé in the eyes, you fool,” and he hilariously responded with a photo of Bey looking at his dead in the eyes, from Jay’s seat, and wrote, “who is looking at who now?”

Mic drop moment, right?

We’re glad Bey’s got a sense of humor about the snapshot and knows how to craft a seriously clever comeback.
