New York police confirm that mega-producer Harvey Weinstein was questioned over the weekend after a 22-year-old woman accused him of groping her Friday at the Tribeca Film Center and filed a sex-abuse complaint. An investigation is underway, per the NYPD.
No charges have been filed at this time and neither the movie mogul nor The Weinstein Company has commented on the matter. The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office has also declined comment.
The accusations were first reported by the New York Daily News.

Meanwhile, law enforcement sources say that the woman alleges that Weinstein grabbed her thigh and chest and asked, apparently in reference to her breasts, if they were real.
Weinstein, 63, has been married to Marchesa co-founder Georgina Chapman for seven years and they have two children together. The producer of Pulp Fiction, Shakespeare in Love, Project Runway and more also has three children with ex-wife Eve Chilton Weinstein.
A source told the NY Daily News that the alleged incident occurred in Weinstein’s office at the Tribeca Film Center, where she went “at his request to talk business.”
The former Miramax mogul, who co-founded The Weinstein Co. with brother Bob Weinstein in 2005, was expected to be at the NYC premiere tonight of Woman in Gold, starring Helen Mirren, Ryan Reynolds and Katie Holmes. No word yet on whether there’s been a change of plans.
