He had a close call when his plane’s engine malfunctioned, forcing him to crash land on a golf course, and Harrison Ford was lucky there was a doctor nearby to lend him a hand.

Dr. Sanjay Khurana, a spinal surgeon, rushed to the “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” actor’s aide on the 8th tee at the Penmar Golf Course when he noticed “a passenger in the rear seat slumped over in distress belted in.”

He told press, “We wanted to get him out safely and with the fuel leaking out, I motioned to some of the other folks at the golf course to put dirt on the fuel so it wouldn’t combust. I just wanted to get him out safely so that the situation wouldn’t erupt into a fire. [After a moment] he was a very familiar face.”
