Furious 7 will be the official name for the latest installment in Universal’s hugely popular The Fast and The Furious street-racing feature franchise. Furious 7 will get a live trailer-launch event on Nov. 1 on Facebook commensurate with its fan base, which numbers more than 51.5 million fans there. The film debuts April 3, 2015.

The event set for noon PT on Nov. 1 will live stream simultaneously from Universal Studios in Los Angeles on the Fast and Furious Facebook page, and on the E! cable channel.

Fans will be able to submit questions for cast members on Facebook-owned Instagram if they post a video with the question and the #AskFurious7 search hashtag. Alternatively, they can leave questions in the comments section on the film’s Facebook page. With more than 51.5 million people clicking the like button on that page, inviting questions from that mass of fans may set off a deluge for the studio to wade through (while still becoming a movie marketer’s dream scenario).

Furious7 short video screen captureIn the marketing countdown to that event, the studio and Facebook will release a seven-second video each day on the site, showing behind-the-scenes moments. The first video posted on Facebook features a brief look at the late Paul Walker, who died last November in a car accident, along with star Vin Diesel and other cast members. We have posted that first video on Deadline’s Facebook page here.

Here’s what the studio published on its Facebook page a little bit ago:
