CBS’s animated Christmas special this year features Stephen Colbert filling in for Charlie Brown as annual Holiday Angster In Chief.
“Good grief, Christmas is coming and Donald Trump is going to be president,” Colbert moans, pausing to lean against a wall on the edge of Central Park.
Santa joins Stephen and confesses he voted Republican.
“It was the only thing Donald wanted for Christmas. My hands were tied,” Santa began but, when the truth comes out, he’d cast his vote for the former reality TV star because Trump promised to bring back coal and Santa needed the coal. “Do you really want to live in a world where the naughty don’t get punished?” Santa asks, defensively.
