Did somebody hassle the Hoff? Yeah, Vikings, dinosaurs and Nazis—yes, Nazis.

Not to worry, though—in David Hasselhoff‘s “True Survivor” music video, he’s got a mullet, moves and enough ’80s magic to take on any evil that comes his way!

The campy clip, which provides the soundtrack for the Kickstarter-funded 30-minute short film Kung Fury, premiered on Thursday. In it, the 62-year-old Knight Rider and Baywatch alum jams his way past amazingly dated graphics, vikings, keytars and essentially everything in between.

“The song is perfect for me as I really am—in real life—a true survivor,” said the Hoff, per Idolator.

As for the movie? Per it’s Kickstarter description, “Kung Fury is an over-the-top action comedy written and directed by David Sandberg. The movie features: arcade-robots, dinosaurs, nazis, vikings, norse gods, mutants and a super kung fu-cop called Kung Fury, all wrapped up in an 80s style action packed adventure.”

And the plot? Well, once again, per the Kickstarter description (it’s hard summing this one up), “a friend of Kung Fury is assassinated by the most dangerous kung fu master criminal of all time; Adolf Hitler, a.k.a Kung Führer.” So what’s a guy to do? “Kung Fury decides to travel back in time, to Nazi Germany, in order to kill Hitler and end the Nazi empire once and for all.”

Bring on the action! As the Hoff tells Idolator, “Kung Fury has it all!”

“I’m honored to be involved with [director] David Sandberg, an up-and-coming force of nature in the animation digital entertainment world,” he added.

Kung Fury is set to premiere May 28 on YouTube.
