EXCLUSIVE: Dan Porter, who led the charge in building William Morris Endeavor’s digital business over the past three years as head of its department, is leaving the agency. He will exit on Nov. 30 to concentrate on his own company and to help grow his sports app, Overtime (which WME was an early investor in).

In Porter’s absence, WME partner Chris Jacquemin will lead digital content/talent for WME while Beth Ferreira will continue to lead WME Ventures. Porter was a key player in WME’s digital expansion, involved in all aspects of the business for the agency. He made digital investments for the agency in such startups s ClassPass, Into the Gloss and Tally.

Before his stint in the NY office of WME as head of digital, Porter was the chief executive of the mobile game studio OMGPOP which was acquired by Zynga in 2012 for between $180M and $200M. He was the creator of Draw Something which was one of the first viral mobile games. He also worked in the NY office of Zynga before that office closed down. Prior to that, he was a senior VP of corporate development for Richard Branson’s Virgin Group.
