Chrissy Teigen Slams Twitter Followers Who Are “Reaching

Chrissy Teigen can’t believe what’s coming out of some of her Twitter followers’ mouths.

On Wednesday morning, the supermodel revealed that she picked the sex of her upcoming child during IVF.

“I’ve made this decision,” she told People. “Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, ‘Let’s put in the girl.'”

While she found herself defending her choice and even joked that she also “picked the embryo with a taste of bacon” earlier in the day, John Legends leading lady was getting fired up by the end of the night with some of the comments made on social media.

“What happens if u kid decides ‘she’ wants 2 identify as ‘he’?” one follower asked. “Y is picking gender important unless u hope 2 enforce it?”

Never one to hold back, Chrissy replied with very little filter. “What in the…she can do whatever she wants,” she explained. “People really reaching for outrage here.”

She continued, “Mentions. In. shambles. Lol. ‘what…what…what if….your GIRL wants to…be……chem trails…..and cis….and….vegan…and….other buzzwords…’ stop looking HERE for s–t to be mad at. There are so many other things that deserve your outrage.”

All this sassiness from followers on social media comes as the FABLife co-host is hard at work promoting her new cookbook titled Cravings. And while she’s found a few negative nancys along the way, the supermodel has also received plenty of support. In fact, her BFF Brooklyn Decker decided to chime into the conversation Wednesday and make light of the situation.

“It’s like a wedding napkin color? Who cares—you want a nice wedding,” Brooklyn wrote on Twitter. “But there’s a choice? OK! I choose plum.”

Ultimately, Chrissy finds all of the comments and dialogue “interesting” and something she didn’t exactly see coming.

“This is all so interesting. I said it so casually because i’m just open. I’m around so many open-minded people & forgot it’s controversial. Anyhow I am not mad at anyone’s beliefs but I don’t really actively seek out people to make them feel bad about their decisions either,” she wrote. “So many typos, my apologies. pretty under the weather. probably this darn science baby.”
