Thor Chris Hemsworth just got a major promotion.
No, we’re not referring to any of his acting (or hunky modeling gigs—we’re talking about the Aussie actor’s new role as TAG Heuer’s new celebrity ambassador. The 32-year-old actor joins the ranks of Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Brady, Cristiano Ronaldo and David Guetta as one of the brand’s handsome faces, meaning that Mr. Hemsworth is now officially in the brand ambassador big leagues.
In The Avengers actor’s first snapshots for the luxury Swiss watch label, he flashes a Carrera Heuer 01 model with a thick white strap, not that we noticed at first though—c’mon, could you look away from those chiseled biceps (we think not).

While promoting the esteemed watch brand, the in-demand actor even opened up about what he does during his (albeit rare) down time… and his go-to watch for when he’s out roughing it.
“When I’m home and not working, I am surfing so much,” the star dished, “I have the Carrerra or the Monaco that I wear when I’m surfing and swimming.”
But, we’re not totally sure the hunk picked out those watches himself, considering his wife, Elsa Pataky, gets the final say on all things wardrobe.
“My wife influences my style in a big way,” Hemsworth said. “She says yes or no. She is a definite style maker. I need her opinion.”
