Remember the little boy who starred opposite Johnny Depp in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?

It’s been 10 years since Tim Burton‘s Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory remake hit theaters, but former child star Freddie Highmore is all grown up now! Highmore, who you might also remember from 2004’s Finding Neverland and 2007’s August Rush, is 23, and as you can see from the cover of Attitude magazine’s Summer 2015 issue, he’s definitely not a little boy anymore!

The handsome Brit, who currently stars as Norman Bates on A&E’s Bates Motel, acknowledged his mature new look.

“I think in a way, being judged as a sex symbol and being famous almost go hand in hand but it is not something I have ever sought,” he told the mag. “It’s tricky because these days success relies on promoting the film or the show more and more, and promoting the actors via Twitter and social media, which I am not on. There is more and more pressure on actors to try to embrace a public social media presence. But I am still holding out.”

Hey, give it up already and join the fun—Matthew Lewis did! Highmore’s fellow now-grown-up-child-star covered Attitude‘s June 2015 issue, and the former Harry Potter star (you probably remember him as Neville Longbottom) was all about promoting the outtakes from this shirtless photo shoot on social media.

Lewis, 26, charmingly Instagrammed a “regram” from photographer Joseph Sinclair. But instead of praising his own abs, he praised the man behind the lens, writing, “That boy got mad skills with the camera.”

See, Highmore? Social media doesn’t have to be too self-indulgent, but when you Neville Longbottom at levels like this, you owe it to the Internet to self promote!

See how Matthew Lewis went from Hogwarts to hottie!
