Blake Lively, Eva Mendes, Megan Fox & More Are Pregnant:

So, Hollywood…

Quite a bit of (re)production happening lately, eh?

Within days we’ve learned that Blake Lively, Eva Mendes, Megan Fox and Ellie Kemper are pregnant, the quartet joining the recently announced Anna Chlumsky, Eva Amurri, Tatyana Ali and Laguna Beach‘s Casey Reinhardt among the expectant set. And all of these celebs join the barely-starting-to-show ranks of Behati Prinsloo, Candice Swanepoel, Hilaria Baldwin and Emily Maynard.

All told, we’ve got quite the baby boom on our hands. (Well, not literally on our hands. That would be gross.)

But as each bit of happy news has revealed itself, Eva’s pregnancy rolling in hot on the heels of Blake’s pregnancy, our dirty minds immediately wondered…

What was going on four months ago?!

Or three to four months ago, with a trimester being about 14 weeks long (13 weeks and six days) and most women across the board being loath to widely announce that a baby is on the way until the first trimester is successfully behind them.

It is now mid-April and, assuming not all of these stars’ secrets were let out of the bag according to the same gestational clock, let’s rewind to the very end of December and early January and take a look at the conception circumstances…

Forget Walking in a Winter Wonderland…

Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, indeed. There’s a reason why the most babies—and this is a fact—are born in the summer months (in the northern hemisphere).

Sure enough, a source told us the Fox is due in late July.

And while we don’t anticipate any time of the year in which we find coupling with Ryan Gosling any less appealing, studies have shown that the fewest babies are born in February, followed by April.

“I’ve always noticed this seasonal birth pattern, and one thought is that people just have less sex in warmer months because it’s so hot out,” Dr. Mary Jane Minkin, a professor of obstetrics at Yale School of Medicine, told Yahoo Parenting last September (presumably right after she finished delivering 18 babies).

But aside from Megan, who apparently loves Halloween, let’s for the sake of argument say that Blake, Eva and Ellie have just cleared their first trimester. Here’s what could have spurred the baby-making on Jan. 8 (besides the fact that it was a Friday—date night!):

Mixed Feelings About the Future

On Jan. 8, the Labor Department let it be known that the U.S. economy had ended 2015 on a high note, with 292,000 jobs added in December. Certainly a reason to celebrate in plenty of circles! And yet, the optimistic news came a day after the Dow plunged 392 points and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration confirmed that 2015 was the hottest year on record in the United States. What do we do?! Have more babies? Have no babies? Oh, the angst! Is it hot in here to you…?

Lakers Angst

Hollywood’s home team lost to Oklahoma City, but it was oh so close, 117-113. What better way to expel all that tension build-up…

A Sigh of Relief

Who wasn’t excited that El Chapo was captured?!

Drunk in Love

Jan. 8 marked the official announcement that Beyonce would be performing at Super Bowl 50. Score!

A Day for Good Jeans

This past Jan. 8 was the official 15th anniversary of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake’s unforgettable denim-on-denim date night at the American Music Awards. We’re thinking that prompted plenty of people to get undressed.

We’d investigate further, but we’re pretty sure we just cracked it right there.
