Beyonce Dedicates Love Song To Jay Z On Opening Night Of

Following the controversy surrounding Beyoncé’s new album release and the ‘did Jay Z or didn’t he?’ with ‘Becky with the good hair’, it seems his wife wants to tell him just how much she loves him. And, as she kicked off the opening night of her Formation world tour in Miami, that’s exactly what she did.

The 34-year-old singer paid tribute to her 46-year-old husband before she launched into her love song, Halo.

Speaking out to the crowd, Beyoncé said: “I want to dedicate this to my beautiful husband. I love you so much.”

Described in a review by the Guardian as “defiant, victorious and glorious”, Bey’s Formation put the “furious politics of black womanhood centre stage” and was filled with fabulous songs.

During the concert, the mum-of-one also paid tribute to her family which includes her four-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy.

She told her rapt audience: “We were driving to rehearsal today and Blue and ‘Mommy, are we going to your work?’ And it reminded me that I dreamed of this day my whole life.”

Finally, the superstar singer – who it seems can do no wrong – paid the ultimate tribute to Prince, by turning her stage into a giant, violet cube, leaving the stage and allowing the arena to bask in Prince’s own version of Purple Rain.
