She has a fiercely loyal fan base and Avril Lavigne is leaning on her supporters in her time of medical need. On Sunday (December 7), the “Complicated” singer sent a direct message via Twitter to @AvrilMusicChart to explain why she’s been staying under the radar.
Lavigne wrote, “I feel bad because I haven’t been able to say anything to the fans to let them know why I’ve been absent. I’m not feeling well. I’m having some health issues. So please keep me in your prayers.”
And after the Twitter account sent a tweet of well wishes, the “I’m With You” songstress simply replied “thank you.” As of late, Avril and her husband Chad Kroeger have been the targets of divorce rumors, with multiple outlets speculating that their union is headed for disaster.
