With Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins confirming they will not be returning to host the ‘Great British Bake Off’ on Channel 4, the show is now desperate to find a suitable replacement. According to reports, that name could be former Spice Girl Geri Horner, who is said to be high on Channel 4’s list of possibilities.
Would Geri Horner be a good choice to host the ‘Great British Bake Off’ on Channel 4?
The Sun reports that Geri is being secretly ‘sounded out’ by Channel 4 as a potential new host, with creators Love Productions believing that she would be a hit with fans and saying she already has great chemistry with Paul Hollywood, the only member of the ‘Bake Off’ team who is making the move to Channel 4.

“She’s got relatively little presenting experience and has big music commitments,” the source added. “But it’s the only show that might tempt her to host.” Geri might be lacking in past presenting gigs, but she does have ‘Bake Off’ experience, having appeared on the Sport Relief special in February, where she was named ‘Star Baker’.
