Pippa Middleton is about to embark on a major bike ride in the name of charity!
The 31-year-old announced earlier today that she’s planning on riding in the British Heart Foundation’s London to Brighton Bike Ride in June, and that she’s already looking forward to the big day.
Middleton, who is currently the ambassador for the charity, is also starring in a new advertising campaign in order to promote the fundraising event.
This marks the 40th year for the annual ride, which was originally launched by street performer Robert Stredder. It boasts over 25,000 cyclists a year and is now one of the biggest and oldest charity bicycle rides in Europe.
This isn’t the first time that Middleton’s hopped on her bike for fundraising efforts.
Last June she helped raise over £15,000 for the British Heart Foundation when she participated in the Race Across America ride.

Middleton was joined by her brother, James Middleton, throughout and released the following statement shortly before her ride:
“On 14th June, my brother and I, along with six friends will be setting off on a West to East Coast Race Across America (RAAM). This relay cycling event spans 3,000 miles, 12 states and 88 counties. We are aiming to complete this non-stop challenge in eight days, riding between 350 and 500 miles a day.”
She continued, “I was shocked to learn that nearly three times more women die from coronary heart disease than breast cancer.
“I’m passionate about raising awareness amongst women of this killer disease and I look forward to working with the BHF to highlight to women the risks of heart disease and importantly, how they can reduce them.”
Go, Pippa, go!
