Kate Middleton‘s Harlem days aren’t over—they’ve only just begun!
The pregnant royal paid a visit to Northside Child Development Center in uptown Manhattan Monday, dressed from head to toe in black.
As you can see, Kate’s monochromatic ensemble was very New York City chic. She wore a simple black dress beneath her black (with nude accents) coat by Goat, which she paired with black tights, black pumps, and yes, even a black clutch.
The Duchess of Cambridge, 32, was accompanied by The First Lady of New York, the Mayor’s wife, Chirlane McCray. Clarence House posted pictures of Kate’s visit to Instagram, including a shot of her inside “receiving a briefing on the work the Northside Center does with over 3,700 children and families across New York.”

Kate was put to work, too! She helped wrap Christmas gifts with Northside volunteers for the hundreds of children the center works with.
Prinz William didn’t join his wife for this portion of the visit. Instead, he was in Washington, D.C., where he met with President Barack Obama and made a speech about the illegal wildlife trade.
Wills will be back to New York by Monday evening, when he and Kate will attend an NBA game (fingers crossed for a court side meet-and-greet with America’s Queen Beyonce and King Jay Z).

The rest of the royals’ whirlwind trip to U.S. is pretty packed, too—Tuesday, they’ll pay their respects at the National September 11th Memorial & Museum. They’ll also visit a youth organization and attend an event celebrating all of the local British talent in the creative industries. Tuesday night, they’ll attend a St. Andrews University alumni dinner at the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art.
On Wednesday, though, Prinz George‘s mum and dad will fly back across the pond to London! The future king didn’t accompany Kate and William for this trip, so he’ll defintely be glad for them to return home!
