2014 MTV Video Music Awards: The Show, The Winners

With another year’s show come and gone, the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards offered up plenty of action while honoring the best in the music business.

The big winners at The Forum show on Sunday night (August 24) included Miley Cyrus as Video of the Year honoree for “Wrecking Ball” while Katy Perry nabbed Best Female Video for “Dark Horse” and Ed Sheernan took home the Moonman for Best Male Video for “Sing”.

With Ariana Grande and Drake both snatching up hardware, other big winners included Best Rock Video honoree Lorde and Fifth Harmony as Artist to Watch.

Meanwhile, Beyonce gave a memorable effort as the night’s headliner before being presented with the Michael Jackson Vanguard trophy by her hip-hop mogul hubby Jay-Z while other acts at the VMAs included Taylor Swift, Usher and a show-opening number from Jessie J, Nick Minaj and Ariana Grande.
