Seasoned writer-producer Diane Ademu-John has signed an overall deal with 20th Century Fox TV. Under the multi-year pact, Ademu-John recently joined the studio’s hit Fox drama Empire at the start of production of the upcoming third season as co-executive producer. Additionally, she will develop her own projects.
“Diane is a fantastic upper-level writer with mountains of experience—she can write it all, from procedurals to character dramas to soaps to the supernatural,” 20th TV president of creative affairs Jonnie Davis said. “We’re thrilled she’s come on board Empire where she’s been doing incredible work, and we look forward to developing with her down the road.”
Added Diane Ademu-John, “This is a wonderful chance for me to work on a show I love and also be able to create new and exciting series. Everyone at 20th has been so incredibly supportive.”
Ademu-John most recently was an executive producer on the CW/Warner Bros. TV drama series The Originals. She previously worked on ABC’s Body of Proof and NBC/CBS’s Medium. Her feature film script Diver is in development at Intrepid Pictures with Mike Flanagan (Oculus) attached to direct.
