A week after the iconic comedian made a surprise appearance at the end of an Obama press conference to talk up the Chicago Cubs’ chances in the National League championship, Bill Murray tonight showed up in the press box at Wrigley Field to cheer the team on during Game 3 of the 2016 World Series. After hyping the crowd up during the 7th inning, Murray led them in a very idiosyncratic take on “Take Me Out To The Ball Game,” channeling, for some reason, Daffy Duck. But who’s complaining? Well, aside from the Cubs, who lost tonight’s game 1-0, giving the Cleveland Indians a 2-1 advantage in the World Series. Hopefully for Cubs fans (but not for those of us who watched Duck Tales on WGN and missed the last season thanks to Chicago baseball), the Cubs can pull it together for game 4 tomorrow night in Chicago.
