We never thought we’d be able to see Russia from our houses again, but here we are, staring Russia right in the face and laughing hysterically.
We knew Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s trip to SNL would be completely incredible, but for some reason we were still surprised when Amy Poehler not only revived her joyous Hillary Clinton and got to meet Kate McKinnon’s newer, 2015 Hillary, but Tina Fey showed up as Sarah Palin to delight us all once again and weigh in on current events…or something.
There were, of course, jokes about Donald Trump, Bernie Sanders, whether John McCain is still alive, and Hillary Clinton’s emails, and the whole reunion ended in a big dance party.

The glorious reunion all came about in a dream had by present day Hillary Clinton. Poehler appeared in a cloud of smoke as 2008 Hillary and soon learned of the future she had just appeared in. The new Hillary has a new laugh, a new haircut, and now says “yasss queen!”
2008 Hillary was definitely astonished to hear about the Republican competition for the presidency, just before she was upstaged by another cloud of smoke that carried Tina Fey’s incomparable Sarah Palin impression.
“Oh geez, looks like I went through time and space again!” Fey-as-Palin announced adorably, before dispensing some truly priceless advice for Hillary’s campaign:
“Do what you believe in your spirit but also America.”
“The man can only ride ya when your back is bent.”
“Also if it gets too hard, just quit who cares?”
In a nutshell, the entire thing was a dream come true—for us, not for Hillary Clinton.
