Terry Crews has confirmed that he has filed a formal report with police, almost a month after he made allegations of sexual assault against a “high-level” executive in Hollywood.
The 49 year old ‘Brooklyn Nine Nine’ star told TMZ on Wednesday (November 8th) that he had filed the report with the Los Angeles Police Department, and explained that “people have to be held accountable”. He also declared that he would be filing a lawsuit against the perpetrator of the alleged offence, saying “we’re going to go all the way”.
A spokesperson for the LAPD later confirmed with People that Crews had met with them at their station in Hollywood.
Back in early October, shortly after the Harvey Weinstein sexual misconduct scandal exploded, Crews took to Twitter to claim that a “high level Hollywood executive” had “groped my privates” at a function in 2016.

“This whole thing with Harvey Weinstein is giving me PTSD. Why? Because this kind of thing happened to ME,” he said, explaining his motivation for speaking out now.

In a series of tweets detailing what had happened to him, Crews wrote: “Jumping back I said What are you doing?! My wife saw everything n we looked at him like he was crazy. He just grinned like a jerk. I was going to kick his a** right then – but I thought twice about how the whole thing would appear.”
Crews then said, “’240 lbs. Black Man stomps out Hollywood Honcho’ would be the headline the next day,” he continued, adding, “Only I probably wouldn’t have been able to read it because I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN JAIL. So we left.”
He then spoke to “everyone I knew that worked with” the exec about what happened, and added that the man behind the alleged assault eventually called him and apologized.
“But [he] never really explained why he did what he did,” said Crews, not naming the executive, adding, “I decided not 2 take it further becuz I didn’t want 2b ostracized— par 4 the course when the predator has power n influence. I let it go. And I understand why many women who this happens to let it go.”
