A teaser trailer for the highly anticipated sequel Fifty Shades Darker has arrived a day ahead of the full trailer, with its star Jamie Dornan at front and center.
The 19-second clip, released one day before the full trailer comes out on Tuesday (September 13th), shows Dornan’s Christian Grey whispering to Anastasia Steele (played by Dakota Johnson), asking her is she’s “intrigued”.
Fifty Shades Darker is scheduled for theatrical release on February 10th, 2017 – coinciding with the Valentine’s Day market, just like its predecessor.

The second movie, following nearly two years after Fifty Shades of Grey came out in cinemas, sees James Foley taking over behind the camera after Sam Taylor-Johnson quit as director, amid reports that she and E.L. James, the author of the original novels, clashed frequently on set.

Dornan remained diplomatic when recently quizzed about this behind-the-scenes dynamic, telling Total Film that James was absolutely within her rights to have a “strong opinion” on the direction of the movies.
“These are Erika’s babies. She’s very right to have a strong opinion on all things Fifty Shades. But Erica and James Foley have a good relationship. They get on very well. He brings a different energy. He’s going to put his own stamp on it.”
This follows suggestions that Dornan had grown tired of his role as Christian Grey and was looking to quit the part in search of other work, which circulated last week.
Gossip Cop pointed out on Monday that filming for the two sequels (Fifty Shades Freed is due for release on February 9th, 2018) had already wrapped, so there was nothing to walk away from, and added that Dornan hadn’t actually bad-mouthed the part at any point.
